CELLULAR & PLEATED SHADES AS A MAUI WINDOW COVERING!

What's the difference between a Cellular and Pleated Shade?
The major difference between pleated and cellular shades is their inner construction.  Pleated shades are constructed with only one lalyer of fabric, whereas cellular shades are constructed with cells, like a honeycomb.  Cellular shades can be offered with single, or double cells and the cells can be of various sizes

PLEATED  SHADE

Both Pleated and Cellular have similarities in treatments.  Both have upgrades, combinations and options like: Top Down/Bottom Up;  Day & Night; Continuous Cord Loop;  Cordless Cellular; Vertical Cellular; and Motorization,.

Top Down/Bottom Up system allows the top of the shade to be lowered, and the bottom to be raised.

Day & Night, is the offer of two types of shade material, usually a sheer fabric on the top half of the shade and an opaque on the bottom half of the shade.  The shade operation is like the Top Down/Bottom Up allowing the choice of light-filtering or room-darkening.

Motorization is simply the use of remote control for convenience.  This is an option for areas such as the bedroom, living room and kitchen.  A delightful luxury Maui Window Covering to acquire!

CELLULAR  SHADE  INSULATION
Windows with coverings not treated for
insulation, or without coverings, can account for 30%+ of heat and air loss.  Let's consider
cellular shades for energy-savings for all Maui Window Coverings.

Single 3/4"light-filtering Cell Cellular Shade provides insulation for your home by trapping air in the cells of the shade.  Some natural light will pass through the shade.

Double 3/8" light-filtering Cell Cellular Shade
provide maximum insulation and temperature
control.  Light filtering will allow some natural light to pass through.

Single 3/4" Blackout Cell Cellular Shade will
stop 99% of all natural light from passing through the shade.

Double 3/8" Blackout Cell Cellular Shade will stop 99% of all natural light.  This is the premier energy saver as the double cells provide maximum insulation and temperature control.

The Cellular fabric construction traps air for maximum energy efficiency and sound absorption, and conceals cords and cord holes to provide maximum privacy.  For further, understanding of other shade parts:  The trim unobtrusive head rail renders a clean uncluttered appearance.  Operating systems provide complete design freedom and flexibility.

Continuous Cord

Cordless Cellular allows the shade to be raised or lowered by pulling down or pushing up on the bottom rail.  This is a great safety option when there are children or pets in the household

Cellular Vertical Application is a unique combination of a cellular shade and a vertical application which allows the creation of beautiful and practical treatments for patio doors, large window spans, or even room dividers.
